Job Summary

The Procurement and Supply Chain Executive plays an instrumental role in driving the development and execution of innovative procurement and supply chain strategies within Boyd's Engineered Materials organization. This role will cultivate robust supplier relationships, leading contract negotiations, and implementing strategic cost management initiatives to optimize overall supply chain efficiency.

As a key member of Boyd's executive team, this individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams across the enterprise to improve operational efficiency, product quality, and sustainability. The ideal candidate will excel at fostering strong partnerships, proactively mitigating risks, and achieving cost savings while consistently exceeding standards of service and performance throughout the procurement and supply chain operations.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement and supply chain strategies in alignment with organizational objectives
  • Manage and develop strategic supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance and value
  • Negotiate, establish, and manage major supplier contracts to secure favorable terms and mitigate risks
  • Continually evaluate supplier performance and drive identified improvements
  • Represent Boyd in supply-constrained environments, protecting brand reputation and maximizing operational resilience
  • Proactively manage and negotiate price increases with suppliers to control costs and minimize financial impact
  • Optimize negotiated freight costs to achieve cost savings and supply chain efficiency
  • Oversee tariff management to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Manage travel-related contracts, including hotels, rental cars, and airlines, to maximize value and service quality
  • Provide strategic guidance to US site-based purchasing teams and international analyst team in Chennai, India
  • Analyze and report on all supply chain spending, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Ensure supplier accountability for quality standards and drive corrective actions when necessary
  • Facilitate and support the cadence of sustainability information in relation to the supply chain
  • Enhance Control Tower Concept using data, technology, and processes to improve real-time, end-to-end visibility
  • Strengthen supply chain resilience through multi-sourcing strategies and risk mitigation planning
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to maintain and optimize Business Central material supplier databases
  • Partner with IT leadership to leverage AI for supply chain evaluation and decision-making
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reporting on global inventory and SAD metrics
  • Monitor invoicing and negotiate favorable payment terms with suppliers
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or relevant field
  • Minimum 7 years of business or procurement experience
  • Willingness and ability to travel, including internationally, to meet objectives
  • Proven track record in effectively managing strategic supplier partnerships, including relationship building, performance improvement, development, and integration
  • Extensive knowledge of the procurement environment and ability to analyze business issues, recommend solutions and strategies, and implement change
  • Strong understanding of the strategic sourcing methodology and its application (e.g. fact based negotiations and cross-functional team collaboration)
  • Exceptional negotiation abilities, including an understanding of legal terminology and conditions
  • Advanced analytical skills, including a demonstrated ability to synthesize, interpret, and communicate market and competitive data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with multiple organizations to develop high-quality working relationships both internally and externally
  • Proficient with MS Office software and Business Central

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, or relevant field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Leadership and change management experience
  • Background in international supply chain management, incoterms, and landed costs
  • Experience managing the following categories: converting, adhesives, films, polymers, foams and/or liners
