Resulting from aggressive business growth and expansion my client has asked me to identify a highly visible Supply Chain Manager. This growth division is a part of a global leader with the space, military & defense/aerospace industry. Because this is a high-profile role and due to its importance to the overall organization this person will be earmarked for succession planning and promotion. Base salary for this role will likely be in the $135K-$140K range, location is near Long Beach. Duties and Responsibilities Develops, plans, organizes, and implements global contracting and procurement strategies and programs to increase operational efficiency and profitability Builds a new supplier development team and develops new sources in best cost countries in alignment with new product and program requirements. Responsible for developing and implementing supply chain best practices to enhance customer service and improve profitability in integrated materials management. Develops new strategic direct and indirect suppliers to increase capacity while reducing costs Leads and manages a team of buyers, project managers, expeditors, commodity managers and supplier development mangers to ensure uninterrupted supply of quality materials to our organization while meeting annual cost out goals
