Student Success Strategic Leader Pool Director

The Role in Brief:

EAB continues to invest in growing its portfolio of service and technology solutions. We seek a Pool Director to support a pool of our Navigate360 and Starfish technology partners. The Pool Director will manage the partner health, service strategy, renewal and growth strategy for their assigned pool, as well as the Strategic Leaders, both directly and indirectly, in their pool, while serving as a point of contact for executives across their pool. This Pool Director will be responsible for managing against key business and operational metrics for the Strategic Leaders assigned to their team, as well as their growth.

This position is open to hires in Washington, D.C. or Richmond, VA preferred; or is open to remote employment within the continental U.S.

This position is listed as Student Success Strategic Leader Pool Director for posting purposes; the official title of this hire is expected to be Director, Student Success to align with business norms.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manages and reports on partner health and strategy for both their individual partners and for the pool of partners they manage. Responsible for the overall pool health, which includes assessing partner health, helping manage renewals, strategy for utilization, and identifying business growth opportunities. Serves as escalation point for the pool they manage, assisting Strategic Leaders in challenging moments with the partner.
  • Leads a team of Strategic Leaders, including both direct and indirect reports, who are serving partners within the assigned pool. For Strategic Leaders they are managing directly, responsible for their skill development and growth in the role.
  • Identifies growth and upsell opportunities for both prospective and existing partners in the pool, working closely with Sales and Account Management teams to help execute. Serve as a resource to support the sales process.
  • Prepare for and facilitate partner discussions both virtual and onsite, including leading executive level meetings focused on furthering strategic priorities through their Navigate360 or Starfish technology solution. Support Strategic Leaders in pool on executive discussions as needed.
  • Consistently connect with other EAB teams, such as product development, technical support, research, enrollment services, and executive leadership to surface partner challenges and ensure a coordinated service approach for partners.
  • Engage with EAB executive leadership on both successes, challenges, and trends across partner pool, serving as the main contact for the entire pool.
  • Leverage knowledge of higher education trends across partner pool to inform partner service approach, strategies, and provide references as needed. Lend expertise to larger team, helping to inform and innovate business practices.
  • As needed, serve as the primary contact for a group of partners and managing the end-to-end relationship with the institution. Responsible for providing strategic guidance, aligning institutional goals and initiatives to platform engagement, fostering ongoing relationship development, and delivering ROI. These activities are completed with the goal of supporting contractual renewal and growth of the partnership.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% (valid Driver’s License)
  • Subject matter expertise in higher education student success
  • Ability to build client relationships that result in new business opportunities, with an emphasis on managing executive relationships
  • Proven ability to prioritize across multiple projects and relationships
  • Ability to create compelling stories validated with data and proven best practice research
  • Possess intellectual curiosity, persistence and creativity in problem solving
  • Team-oriented but also highly self-sufficient and self-motivated

Compensation:

The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $ $92,500 - $115,000 per year. Actual salary varies due to factors that may include but not be limited to relevant experience, skills, and location. At EAB, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the starting salary range for their role.

This hire will additionally be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
