JOB DESCRIPTION
- FULL TIME
The School of Communication & Public Affairs in the College of Arts & Cultural Studies is accepting applications for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Leadership to begin Fall 2026. Review of applications will begin immediately.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Teach 24-25 hours of undergraduate and graduate leadership courses. Examples of undergraduate leadership courses to be taught include Introduction to Leadership, Strategic Team Building, and Data Driven Decision Making.
  • Collaborate with the Director of the Doctor of Strategic Leadership Program for residential program planning and implementation.
  • Assist in academic program assessment, program design, and curriculum planning.
  • Advise graduate and undergraduate students.
  • Connect students with and review internship opportunities.
  • Engage in scholarly research, presentations, and publications, and other professional development activities.
  • Engage in university activities such as faculty meetings, committee meetings, retreats, and chapel services.
  • Additional skills and experience which may elevate one's candidacy with expertise in leadership coaching, event planning, grant writing and nonprofit management, philanthropy, and other applied leadership activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Have a demonstrated history of or potential for successful and excellent teaching and student engagement.
  • Hold an earned doctorate in Leadership, Strategic Leadership, or closely related field.
  • Demonstrate academic and professional qualifications to serve in an interdisciplinary role.
  • Have professional experience in applied leadership.
  • Demonstrate integrated faith in the classroom, the church, and community.
