Strategic Communications Strategist
The Opportunity:
Key to an organization's growth is strong stakeholder communication that represents and supports its mission, values, and objectives. As a communications professional, you know how to inform and engage key audiences and help promote an organization's desired reputation. We're looking for an experienced communications strategist like you, who is ready to share your knowledge and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you'll use your skills and experience to design, develop, produce, and advise on a variety of internal and external communication materials and media that supports Navy clients specific to talent operations and data analytics.
As a Strategic Communications Strategist, you will work closely with clients and key stakeholders to drive top-down and bottom-up communications highlighting the organization's goals and objectives. Senior leaders will depend on you to tackle their unique challenges through crafting narratives and communicating real time needs as they arise.
As the organizational advisor of all aspects of oral and written communications, you'll oversee and author talking points, briefings, slick sheets, FAQ sheets, and other communication products. You will be part of a strategy team that includes strategic communications, human capital, and change management experts, so a strong interest in strategic planning and people-focused solutions is essential for success. You'll work both independently and collaboratively across the team in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, and drive progress tied to the client's mission.

You Have:
  • 4+ years of experience in a strategic communications, executive communications, or enterprise-level communications role
  • 4+ years of experience creating high-quality deliverables such as talking points, briefings, white papers, memos, press releases, social media assets, and brand style guides
  • Experience implementing communication models, designing enterprise-level communication strategies, and utilizing a messaging matrix to align organizational communications
  • Experience advising senior leaders, supporting executive-level engagement, and producing quick turn communication messages
  • Ability to apply change management principles to advance people-focused initiatives and support key human capital priorities
  • Ability to work independently, proactively solve problems, and create visually appealing, data-centric client deliverables
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a Public Relations, Strategic Communications, Journalism, Public Affairs or Communications field

Nice If You Have:
  • Ability to provide writing samples or communications portfolio
  • Master's degree in Public Relations, Strategic Communications, Journalism, or Public Affairs
  • Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) Certification
  • Communication Management Professional (CMP) Certification
  • Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP) Certification
  • PROSCI or Change Management Certification

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
