Job description

Champlain Valley Equipment, a leading provider of agricultural, commercial, and residential equipment in Vermont, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Operations Coordinator to join its corporate team in Middlebury, VT. This full-time role is central to ensuring smooth sales operations, accurate inventory management, and effective marketing execution across multiple dealership locations. The Sales Operations Coordinator will play a key part in supporting the sales team, maintaining inventory accuracy, and coordinating marketing and event logistics. This position offers opportunities for professional growth and hands-on learning in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Accurately enter and update equipment records, pricing, and tags in the business management system.
  • Monitor inventory levels across store locations and coordinate inter-store equipment transfers to meet customer demand.
  • Conduct physical walk-arounds to photograph incoming and used equipment for online listings.
  • Generate and analyze inventory reports to assist leadership in identifying promotional opportunities.
  • Maintain and track inventory of branded merchandise, apparel, and decals.
  • Coordinate updates and orders for marketing collateral, including business cards and showroom materials.
  • Assist with creating social media spotlights and pulling contact lists for marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain the master events calendar and support pre-event logistics, including packing and coordinating event setups.
  • Train under the Sales Operations Director to learn OEM order management and retail ordering processes.
  • Work toward managing seasonal stock orders across equipment lines.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in administrative support, inventory coordination, sales operations, or retail marketing.
  • Proficiency with ERP/business management systems (experience with DIS or similar dealership systems is a plus), Microsoft Office, and basic photo management tools.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail in data entry and inventory tracking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to work both in an office setting and outdoors on the equipment lot (including walking the yard, taking photos, and moving light event gear).
  • Background or interest in agricultural, commercial, or residential equipment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with social media execution and promotional contact list management is a plus.
Compensation

$22.00 – $26.00 per hour, depending on experience.
