What we need

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager to join our Program Management team within our PMO organization. Your job will be to lead complex, cross-functional automation programs that bring new warehouse automation solutions from concept through customer deployment. You'll work across engineering, product, operations, sales, and customer teams to drive execution, align stakeholders, and ensure successful delivery of innovative automation solutions.

What we do

The Program Management team is responsible for bringing Symbotic's automation technology to customers through successful planning, execution, and delivery. The team partners across engineering, operations, and customer-facing organizations to coordinate complex technical programs, manage risk, and ensure our solutions deliver measurable business value.

What you'll do

  • Lead complex, cross-functional technical programs that deliver automation solutions into customer distribution and warehouse environments.

  • Drive program execution from concept through deployment by coordinating engineering, product management, operations, supply chain, finance, and customer implementation teams.

  • Partner with technical and business stakeholders to define program scope, priorities, schedules, risks, and success metrics.

  • Translate customer and market requirements into scalable program plans that leverage Symbotic's existing platform while supporting new capabilities and technologies.

  • Serve as a key customer-facing technical partner, building strong relationships while aligning internal teams to deliver on customer commitments.

  • Establish program governance, monitor execution, proactively identify risks, and drive issue resolution to ensure successful program delivery.

  • Capture implementation learnings and leverage data-driven insights to continuously improve engineering processes, product quality, and deployment efficiency.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required. Master's degree or other advanced engineering degree strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of 8 years of technical experience leading large, complex engineering or automation programs.

  • Experience delivering automation, robotics, warehouse, manufacturing, industrial equipment, or other complex hardware/software systems.

  • Proven ability to lead large cross-functional programs involving engineering, operations, product management, supply chain, and customer-facing teams.

  • Strong customer-facing experience with the ability to communicate effectively across technical teams, executive leadership, and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent program planning, risk management, and organizational skills, with a track record of driving programs to successful completion.

  • Experience with industrial automation, controls systems, or PLC-based solutions is a plus, but not required.

The base range for this position in the posted location is $180,000.00 - $247,500.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.
