About the role:
Ampere is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager to support our growing Hardware Platform Architecture team.
What You'll Achieve:
  • Lead the definition, design, and validation of board & system-level development programs, from concept to prototype to production, for Ampere products.

  • Own the development of hardware requirements, schedules, build plans, validation plans, and delivery of high-quality platforms by partnering with silicon architects, platform architects, package design, platform design, firmware, design validation, final/system-level test, and external ODM/Contract Manufacturing (CM) partners.

  • Develop integrated schedules aligned with internal and external stakeholders, clearly capturing dependencies and deliverables, and drive execution to successful program completion.

  • Partner closely with Procurement and Planning to manage demand forecasts, lead times, build plans, annual operating budgets, and platform delivery. Maintain accurate and current product data, BOMs, and documentation in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Advanced Planning System (APS) systems.

  • Own relationships with ODM/CM development partners and serve as the main point of contact.

  • Manage, understand, and drive closure of board and system-level defects.

  • Support multi-site silicon and platform validation teams by identifying and resolving dependencies and issues across cross-functional groups.

About You:
  • Minimum 8 years project or program management experience in hardware design, with experience defining, driving, and shipping products through multiple release cycles.
  • Deep understanding of board and system-level platform development lifecycles.
  • Broad knowledge and experience across business, engineering, NPI and manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of change control, issue tracking, and release readiness for hardware platforms.
  • Ability to lead others, influence stakeholders, and drive decisions with the senior leadership team.
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand, communicate, and integrate technical concepts related to SoC products or SoC-based platform development.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Professional demeanor with strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field. Bachelor's degree & 8 years of related experience; or Master's degree & 6 years; or PhD & 3 years.

The full base pay range for this role is between $182,000 and $273,000, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $195,000 and $292,000.
