Job description

) Staff Development Coordinator
The Orchards is currently seeking an Staff Development Coordinator to join our team.
Staff Development Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conducting New Hire Orientation for all new hires to the facility
  • Conducting ad hoc and scheduled educations to nursing department and all staff as needed
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for the nursing team as needed
  • Attend and participate in leadership meetings daily, monthly, weekly, as needed
  • Work to maintain competency and education records for all nursing and CNA staff
  • Informing DON of persistent issues related to non-compliant documentation
  • Protecting the confidentiality of Resident & Facility information at all times

Staff Development Coordinator Qualifications and Skills:
  • Valid RN or LPN License
  • Knowledge of skilled nursing facilities survey process and regulations would be helpful.
  • Prior Nurse Managment or Education Experience preferred
  • Long Term Care Experience Required
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week
  • Must be highly organized, professional & motivated
  • Should have solid computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Should be friendly and a team worker
