Job description

Endeavor Health Services is looking for a full-time Program Assistant to join our clinics throughout Western New York! Our clinics offer behavioral health services including psychiatry in the outpatient setting.
The PROGRAM ASSISTANT functions as a member of the treatment team providing assistance to our psychiatric providers, nurses, and clinicians. This position is under the direct supervision of the Senior Program Assistant and Coordinator of Population Health.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manages medication refill requests.
  • Completes prior authorizations for psychiatric medications.
  • Manages the scheduling of initial psychiatric and medication evaluations with providers.
  • Record gathering and care coordination (written or telephonic) with referrals and other entities as required.
  • Assist staff with documentation according to agency standards.
  • Assist staff with people in crisis.
  • Maintains cultural sensitivity and competence with respect to people and their families, as well as other employees and suppliers.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all agency policies, procedures and governmental regulations including, but not limited to HIPAA.

Qualifications
  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree (preferred) in Human Services or related field
  • Microsoft Office experience is required
  • Experience working with Cerner or similar behavioral health software preferred
  • Experience working with medical providers is preferred
