Rutgers Business School -Newark & New Brunswick (RBS) is a two-campus business school with a presence in both Rutgers University - New Brunswick and Rutgers University-Newark. The Senior Program Coordinator will oversee the professional mentoring of RBS students, student leadership programs, or any other student programs as assigned at Rutgers Business School in Newark and New Brunswick. Reporting to the Director of SEER, the Senior Program Coordinator will organize, implement, and continuously improve mentoring and leadership development initiatives that connect students with alumni and corporate partners.
This position is responsible for and not limited to the following:
  • The Senior Program Coordinator will manage day-to-day operations, recruitment and communications, mentor/mentee matching logistics, event planning, and data tracking for the program for which they are responsible.
  • This position will prepare semester and annual reports, and collaborate across RBS and university offices to deliver high-quality experiences that advance student engagement and professional development.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, work organization, coordination, facilitation, bookkeeping, and/or report writing principles and practices
  • Also requires a minimum of two years relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication skills, and computer literacy relevant experience in program coordination or administrative functions in higher education, student development, alumni relations, or a related setting.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Three to five (3-5) years of relevant experience, preferably in higher education, alumni/corporate engagement or early talent initiatives.
  • Experience coordinating mentoring programs, student leadership initiatives, corporate partner engagement or early talent initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Rutgers systems (e.g., Affinaquest, CVENT) and basic budget/expense tracking in an academic setting.
  • Experience with CRM or engagement platforms and with developing data dashboards and program assessments.
  • Familiarity with Chronus or a mentoring system.
