Our values, workplace practices, wellness programs, benefits and compensation are aimed at helping employees manage their unique personal life and care for their families so they can focus on contributing to the fullest.

Job Summary:

The Senior HRIS Professional is a hands-on member of a three-person HRIS team responsible for the ongoing configuration, administration, optimization, and production support of Workday. This role primarily supports **Workday Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence**, ensuring that system functionality aligns with business requirements, payroll practices, compliance obligations, and the employee experience.

The Senior HRIS Professional partners with Payroll, Human Resources, Finance, IT, and other stakeholders to configure Workday, administer functional security, develop reports, resolve production issues, and support integrations. The successful candidate combines deep Workday functional expertise with strong analytical, consulting, and problem-solving skills and is comfortable balancing day-to-day support with projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

- Serves as a primary Workday functional resource for **Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence**, providing hands-on configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and production support.

- Configures and maintains Workday functionality, including business processes, eligibility rules, validation and condition rules, calculated fields, time calculations, time-entry rules, absence plans, accruals, payroll-related configurations, notifications, and related organizational structures.

- Partners with Payroll and HR stakeholders to evaluate business requirements and translate them into effective, scalable, and supportable Workday solutions.

- Provides functional support for payroll processing, time-entry activities, absence administration, year-end activities, and other recurring business cycles.

- Investigates and resolves Workday production issues, identifies root causes, evaluates downstream impacts, and implements sustainable solutions.

- Configures and maintains Workday security for assigned functional areas, including security groups, domain security policies, business process security policies, and role-based access.

- Performs periodic security reviews and supports internal and external audit requests to help ensure appropriate access to sensitive employee and payroll information.

- Develops and maintains Workday reports, including custom and advanced reports, calculated fields, dashboards, and scheduled report distributions.

- Works with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and delivers accurate, actionable data while maintaining appropriate data security and governance.

- Performs initial troubleshooting of Workday integrations and data feeds, including reviewing integration events, error messages, input and output files, and business process dependencies.

- Supports basic integrations and data loads using tools such as Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) and coordinates more complex integration issues with internal technical resources, vendors, or consultants.

- Supports Workday releases, feature adoption, regression testing, and ongoing tenant management. Reviews release notes and recommends relevant features or enhancements for Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence.

- Develops test plans and test scenarios; coordinates and performs unit, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.

- Participates in the planning, design, configuration, testing, implementation, and post-production support of Workday projects and enhancements.

- Maintains system documentation, configuration workbooks, process flows, test scripts, support procedures, and knowledge-base materials.

- Monitors data quality and performs audits to identify and correct configuration, transaction, security, and data-integrity issues.

- Identifies opportunities to improve and simplify HR and payroll processes through Workday configuration, automation, standardization, and adoption of delivered functionality.

- Provides guidance and training to HR, Payroll, managers, employees, and other system users regarding Workday functionality and processes.

- Collaborates closely with other members of the three-person HRIS team, shares knowledge, provides backup support, and assists with broader Workday and HR technology priorities as needed.

- Manages multiple priorities independently, communicates risks and dependencies, and provides clear status updates to stakeholders and leadership.

- Builds effective relationships with HR Centers of Excellence, Payroll, Finance, IT, internal audit, vendors, and implementation partners.

- Protects confidential employee and payroll information and supports compliance with organizational policies, data privacy requirements, and applicable regulations.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.

- An equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and professional experience may be considered.

Experience:

- Experience developing and maintaining Workday custom reports and troubleshooting report results is required.

- Experience troubleshooting Workday integrations, EIBs, data loads, and integration-related errors is required.

- Experience supporting Workday releases, testing, production issues, and enhancement projects is preferred.

- Workday consulting or implementation-partner experience is preferred.

- Experience working within a small HRIS team and independently managing multiple functional responsibilities is preferred.
