Qualifications:
  • Degree in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Physical Education, Health Sciences, or Athletic Training and/or a current accredited certification as a personal trainer or strength & conditioning specialist.
  • Current CSCS certification or CFSC certification is preferred but not required. If not currently held, the ideal candidate is interested in obtaining one of these certifications in the near future.
  • Current CPR/first aid certification required.
  • Experience with ABC and Trainerize software is a plus but not required.
  • Previous training/coaching and program design experience or relevant internship experience and a passion for working with athletes and the field of sports performance training.
  • Reliability, dependability and a high level of professionalism and accountability.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to help create and sustain a fun, supportive, and positive community for our athletes.

Hours: This is a part-time position to start (15-20 hours per week) but may increase as our program grows. Must be available to work afternoons/evening shifts (i.e. 3 PM - 8 PM) and weekends (Saturday mornings) during the academic year.
