THE RUNDOWN
Playfly Sports is looking for a Director Playfly Global Partnerships to join our team in Los Angeles, CA.
The Director, Playfly Global Partnerships will focus on client-direct efforts to create multi-year strategic partnerships and work collaboratively across the organization's portfolio, including Playfly's Media, Sports Consulting, Sports Properties, and Premier Partnerships sales groups. Also, this individual will target independent partnership sales efforts dependent on property and project scope as directed. The Director should have established high-level client-direct relationships across top brands assigned with the goal of enhancing their network by articulating and prophesizing the Playfly value proposition. This individual will partner, ideate, prospect, strategize, target, and execute plans in collaboration with our Integrated Marketing Service team as well as Enterprise Catalyst teams (Creates, Activation, Insights), in order to develop bespoke and meaningful partnerships for clients. As a senior member of the Playfly Global Partnerships team, this individual will be accountable for contributing to the achievement of overall individual, team, quarterly, and annual budgeting goals.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Develop meaningful relationships with high-level decision-makers across the media, marketing and sponsorship landscape, both client-direct and at sports marketing agencies
  • Generate new and/or incremental revenue through sales of integrated media, team partnerships and sports consulting services
  • Will be primary partnerships sales lead on property-specific projects as assigned.
  • Possess superior presentation skills to articulate and monetize concepts in a consultative manner to generate revenue from new, traditional, and non-traditional sources
  • Collaborate across all Playfly divisions to effectively target brands and convert prospects into partners. Develop and build new concepts, cross-sales platforms, and promotional opportunities
  • Utilize all available systems/reporting tools to ensure transparency and accountability towards achievement of assigned budget goals
  • Employ the latest prospecting tools, research data, and market, sponsorship, and media knowledge to develop effective, brand-centric sales positioning
  • Ensure optimal market coverage by participating in client activities, trade association events and socials, and any ancillary activities that can assist in better visibility and revenue growth
  • Be a constructive contributor who works with high integrity and authenticity
  • Provide meaningful support and mentorship to teammates
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 7+ years experience in business development, sponsorship sales, brand strategy, and/or partnership stewardship
  • Experience in Team Sponsorship and Sports Industry Sales is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with high-level decision-makers is required
  • Proven track record of innovative strategy development and sponsorship revenue generation.
  • Must be a strategic-thinker and possess an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Superior public speaking and persuasive presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM)/KORE/Revenue Generation systems is a plus

TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Expected Travel (>15%) will be project and client based as needed

COMPENSATION
The pay range for this role is $120,000 to $125,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
