Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively prospect and secure new business for conference services, banquet events, corporate meetings, weddings, and social functions through targeted outreach, networking, and industry partnerships.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize catering revenue, achieve/exceed monthly/annual targets, and grow market share in the luxury hospitality sector.
  • Manage full sales cycle: respond to leads, conduct site tours/showcases, customize proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with corporate clients, event planners, wedding couples, and local/international partners.
  • Collaborate with culinary, banquet, and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution, from menu planning and setup to on-site coordination and post-event follow-up.
  • Prepare accurate forecasts, reports, and budgets; utilize CRM/event management software to track opportunities and performance.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends in Florida Keys events, competitor offerings, and innovative catering concepts to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve issues to create memorable guest experiences and generate repeat/referral business.

Qualifications & Skills (to attract top talent):

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of proven experience in catering sales, hotel/resort event sales, conference services, or wedding sales (luxury resort or full-service hotel background highly preferred).
  • Strong track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets, driving revenue growth, and building client portfolios.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with a creative, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems (e.g., Delphi, Salesforce), and event planning software.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage trends, menu development, and banquet operations.
