Veraxx has a high level of expertise in flight simulation hardware and software development, as well as computer architecture, tactical environments, interoperability (HLA/DIS), avionics systems, graphics and real-time embedded systems.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the administrative aspects of a technical program/project.
  • Negotiate program goals with Company Management, Customers, and other stakeholders. 
  • Plan overall program activities.  Assemble a project team and direct team members to perform project tasks. 
  • Create a program schedule and budget, track progress, and modify the program plan to accomplish the program goals.
  • Authorize expenditures to accomplish program goals. 
  • Communicate with Customers, Company Management, and other stakeholders about program status and plans.  
  • Coordinate the use of fiscal, material, and labor resources with other program managers.
  • Manage subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Lead a proposal team in the development and submission of proposals to the U.S. Government and prime contractors.
  • This includes coordinating with the program management team and technical teams to assemble cost and technical proposals. 
Required Experience/Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree from an accredited college or university in engineering. business or related discipline, or advanced degree and 8 years' experience.  8 years' experience in DoD acquisitions or DoD training systems management can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
  • Prior experience or study of program/project planning, scheduling, budgeting, tracking, and execution.  Extensive knowledge of the application of modern technology to the planning, evaluating, directing, and coordinating of broad-based engineering projects.  Demonstrated ability to plan and manage all phases of a technical project's lifecycle.
  • At least ten (5) years of experience in the activities required by a Program Manager to manage, status, plan, organize, and provide support for the overall program. 
  • At least (5) years of experience in program planning, reviewing a Statement of Work (SOW), and supporting program execution.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with the DoD Acquisition process.
  • Familiarity with Government Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Leading a Program Team in providing program management and risk management support.
  • Planning, directing, and evaluating acquisition, management, technical development, and financial control for the program in terms of risk, performance, schedule, and cost.
  • Planning for and synthesizing requirements of functional areas such as engineering, logistics, budget, configuration management, and other specialties into integrated strategies to support the acquisition program.
  • Supervisory/managerial direction of acquisition program and personnel associated with the program.
  • Experience in Monitoring and Controlling Program Plans and Data.
  • Experience in developing and managing budgets.
  • Developing and implementing the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in Microsoft Project.
  • Management of the planning, engineering, installation, and relocating or removal of training systems.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications
  • Knowledge of flight simulation
  • Knowledge of military aviation training
  • Knowledge of military aircraft systems and avionics a plus.
  • Knowledge of trainer networking
Special Requirements/Security Clearance
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Secret DOD clearance.
Salary Range

Salary Minimum: $145,000

Salary Maximum: $190,000

The annual base salary provided is a guideline for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. When extending an offer, By Light also considers other variables such as (but not limited to) work experience, education, training, skill set, internal peer equity, clearance level, and market conditions.
