What to expect
The ideal Senior Program Manager (SPM) candidate will support delivery of multiple Warehouse Management System projects for clients.
  • SPM will utilize traditional knowledge areas including scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communications, risk, and stakeholder management.
  • Internally, SPM will work regularly with Finance, IT, HR, Delivery, Services Leadership, and other departments and individuals as needed.
  • Externally, SPM will work closely with one or more clients, software partners (currently Blue Yonder, Infor, and Softeon), possibly consulting partners and 3rd party resourcing companies.
  • The position will contribute to the ongoing development of the PMO including best practices and initiatives including AI in project management. There is a strong emphasis on continuous self-development in addition to team development.

  • Schedule: manage project(s) so these remain on track with committed timeline
  • Cost: ongoing analysis and reporting on project budget vs actual; prepare forecasts and reports
  • Quality: evaluate projects, develop templates and SOPs, recommend/implement enhancements
  • Resources: onboard and off board; coach and train Consulting resources; mentor assigned resources
  • Communications: lead assigned meetings, prepare minutes, provide updates; use KPIs
  • Risk: identify and communicate project risks and impacts; propose risk response options
  • Stakeholders: collaborate with key stakeholders including project team, client(s), partner(s)

Skills & Experience
  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in IT, Supply Chain, Business or related degree
  • Alternatively, Longbow will accept a bachelor's degree and 10 years of progressive work experience
  • Proven experience working as a Program Manager or similar capacity
  • Knowledgeable in project management and PMBOK and SBOK methodologies
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and coordinate tasks to meet internal and client deadlines
  • Comfortable building cross-functional relationships
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Willing and able to travel up to 20% if required
  • Adhere to all Longbow Policies and Procedures
  • Preferred: Experience with supply chain applications such as WMS, TMS, DP, SP, S&OP, Inventory
  • Preferred: active PMP®, active SMC® or MBA or Masters in Supply Chain
