Job Title: Software Program Manager
Job Description
Join a dynamic team as a Software Program Manager in the Mobility Group, driving the electric revolution forward. Collaborate with global partners to innovate transportation technologies, making vehicles more efficient, faster, and safer. Lead software development for automotive EV products and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality, industry-compliant software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope, work breakdown structures, and detailed milestone schedules in sync with internal and external goals.
- Act as the primary technical liaison for OEM customers, lead steering committee meetings, and manage expectations.
- Identify and mitigate technical resource and timing risks, escalating critical issues to executive leadership when necessary.
- Ensure software work products comply with industry standards such as ASPICE and ISO26262.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies in a Waterfall environment, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Evaluate and negotiate software change requests, considering impacts on budget and timing.
- Synchronize software deliveries with hardware samples, testing, and manufacturing requirements.
- Serve as a central communication hub for project-related information, balancing priorities of external customers and internal teams.
- Drive continuous optimization of software development lifecycles and project management methodologies.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to align high-level milestones with sprint execution.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded software project management.
- Preferred: MBA or advanced degree.
- Experience in the automotive industry, particularly with embedded software development.
- Familiarity with requirements management, change, and configuration management tools.
- Experience with software test methodologies and development of test plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of software quality assurance requirements such as Automotive SPICE.
Work Environment
Work in a cross-functional matrix environment. Engage with global teams across different time zones, ensuring alignment of program schedules. The role emphasizes strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to navigate complex project landscapes and deliver superior software solutions.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Southfield, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $68.00 - $85.00/hr.
