Qualifications & Experience Requirements for Social worker Assistant:
  • Previous Experience as a Social worker Assistant preferred
  • Valid Social Worker License
  • Two years experience working directly with geriatric clients in a health care setting, desirable
  • MSW, CSW preferred
  • Customer service, in-person and over the telephone
  • Some knowledge of medical insurance, Medicare/Medicaid program benefits, desirable
  • Discharge planning
  • Computer literacy, able to fax, scan, email
  • Experience in clinical patient conferences
