The Digital Sector of Leidos is seeking a Site Operations Lead to manage all mission-critical enterprise services and staff at the main customer site in Washington, DC to ensure mission, customer, and contract requirements are met or exceeded.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing enterprise services, guiding technical operations personnel, coordinating with customer stakeholders, and ensuring rapid response to incidents affecting enterprise infrastructure availability and performance.
 
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in managing staff across a large IT Infrastructure to include systems administration, enterprise monitoring, incident management, ICAM, and customer coordination in classified or high-availability environments. This individual will serve as the on-site operational lead, provide technical direction to operations personnel, and help drive service continuity, operational readiness, and process improvement across the enterprise.

Primary Tasks

  • Lead day-to-day operations for enterprise infrastructure systems and services in a 24/7/365 mission environment.
  • Maintain operational oversight of enterprise services and systems, including monitoring agent health, alerting workflows, and communication between monitoring platforms and centralized monitoring capabilities.
  • Serve as the primary on-site lead for operation services and customer coordination.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to system administrators and operations staff supporting enterprise and infrastructure services.
  • Coordinate incident response, troubleshooting, escalation, and restoration of services affecting enterprise and associated infrastructure.
  • Review logs, alerts, trends, and incident data to identify recurring issues, support root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Partner with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional IT teams to collect data, analyze issues, and develop operational and technical solutions.
  • Support Windows server and enterprise infrastructure activities across distributed environments.
  • Track and report operational status, service impacts, and technical findings to management and customer stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update operations and maintenance documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles for 24/7/365 support personnel.
  • Drive operational readiness, service continuity, workforce coordination, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Support change management, scheduled maintenance, emergency maintenance actions, and service recovery activities related to the enterprise infrastructure.
  • Ensure support activities align with customer requirements, service expectations, security standards, and mission objectives.
  • Also serves as team lead for one of the enterprise teams located at the site: Enterprise Monitoring, 24/7 Support, PKI, and/or Datacenter.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience leading technical teams in a site lead, team lead, shift lead, regional lead, operations lead, or similar leadership role.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical IT operations in secure, classified, or high-availability environments.
  • Experience with incident management, troubleshooting, service restoration, log analysis, trend analysis, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience supporting Windows server environments and enterprise systems administration.
  • Experience coordinating with customers and stakeholders to resolve incidents, address service issues, and support operational requirements.
  • Experience with support ticket management systems and IT service operations processes.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and time management skills.

Education:

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 6 years, Associate's with 10 years, or High School Diploma with 12 years.


Certifications:

  • Candidate must, at a minimum, meet DoDM 8140.03 (previously DoD 8570) – IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher). Specific “or higher” certifications for systems administrators include FITSP-O, GFACT, CASP+, CCNP Security, or CCSP.

Clearance:
Due to the nature of the government contracts we support, US Citizenship is required.
TS/SCI with Poly required for Position or TS/SCI and willingness to obtain and maintain a specific clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading operations in a 24/7/365 mission environment.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing operational reviews, metrics reporting, workforce coordination, and service status briefings.
  • Experience with enterprise technologies such as Active Directory, VMware, SCCM, WSUS, Exchange, SharePoint, Citrix, and storage platforms.
  • Experience with patch management, STIG compliance, IAVA remediation, and RMF-aligned operational support.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud services and cloud-based operational environments.

Pay Range:Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
