Job description

Current Tuli Context
Tuli Lodge started as a six-month proof of concept on Pier 62, and now we're opening two new locations this summer: one on the Lake Union piers in South Lake Union, and an "outpost" at Old Stove Brewing's Ship Canal in North Queen Anne. We're scouting our first permanent location, preparing to fundraise, and building the team that will work with us to grow us across the US!
We're looking for a Site Operations Manager who wants to be part of building Tuli from our early and scrappy stage into something big!!
What You'll Own
Phase 1: Team Leadership & Operations (from day one)
  • Lead, schedule, and manage a team of ~10 Sauna Hosts across two locations - you're their coach, accountability partner, and first call when something goes wrong
  • Build and own the onboarding and training curriculum for all on-site hires - you set the standard and make sure it sticks
  • Set weekly schedules for the full team across both SLU and North Queen Anne
  • Build, document, and enforce SOPs across all on-site operations - if a process doesn't exist, you'll create it
  • Hold the standard on guest experience, team culture, cleanliness, safety, and vibe
  • Participate in an on-call rotation with the founding team (roughly 1-in-3 weeks)
  • Report directly to the CEO - proactive communication is a must
  • Collaborate with the CEO to identify ways to level-up the business - your perspective and ideas matter, and we want to implement them quickly!

Phase 2: Vendor & Inventory Ownership (unlocks additional compensation)
  • Take over full inventory management across both locations: track stock, place reorders, keep operations from ever running short
  • Own vendor relationships end-to-end - communication, contracts, and accountability
  • As we add locations, scale your operational systems to meet them
Fix It Mode
This role requires someone who is ready to fix things when they break - not escalate and wait. If the stove glass breaks, the cold plunge isn't cooling, or something is wrong on-site before a packed session, you handle it. You're comfortable troubleshooting on the fly, getting your hands dirty, and figuring it out.
Physical work is a core part of this job: chopping wood, managing the fire, hauling equipment, and general upkeep are all part of the day.
A reliable car is extremely helpful (but not a dealbreaker) - we'll occasionally need you to move between locations and run things on behalf of the company. We'll compensate for gas and wear on your vehicle.
Your Schedule
  • Full-time salaried, 40 hours/week
  • Work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday are always yours)
  • Days off: Monday and Tuesday
  • Roughly half your time is scheduled on-site as a sauna host; the other half is floating (planning, admin, scheduling, coordination, troubleshooting)
  • Participates in an on-call rotation with the founding team
  • If hosts call out sick and no one else can cover, you take that shift (even if last minute)

Qualifications
You'll thrive here if you...
  • Have experience managing a team of 5+ people in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment (hospitality, retail, fitness, food service - all fair game)
  • Have built or enforced SOPs and understand why they matter
  • Have developed training programs or onboarding processes and take pride in how new team members are set up to succeed
  • Take ownership without being asked and over-communicate by default
  • Know how to hold people accountable without losing their trust
  • Are naturally handy and not fazed by physical labor or things breaking unexpectedly
  • Are comfortable with computers: clean inbox, organized calendar, strong written communication
  • Ambitious to grow - into more responsibility, more locations, and eventually a GM role
  • Have a reliable car and are comfortable occasionally driving on behalf of the company (strong nice-to-have)

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: $60,000
  • Performance bonus: $10,000 - $20,000 based on hitting defined team and operations milestones
  • Base salary increases to $70,000 once Phase 2 is fully owned (vendor management, inventory management, and multi-location operations)
  • Paid sick leave
  • Paid time off
  • Unlimited sauna + cold plunge access at all locations
  • Mileage and vehicle wear reimbursement for company driving
  • A real seat at the table as we grow - we're building this with you, not around you!!

Growth Path
We're opening two locations this summer and scouting our first permanent site. We're preparing to fundraise to scale across the US. The Site Operations Manager is the connective tissue that makes multi-location operations work - and as we grow, this role grows with us. Our goal is for this person to step into a General Manager seat as we add locations and headcount. If that type of growth excites you, pls apply!
Our Culture
Small team, high bar, fast pace. We care about every guest interaction and every operational detail. We proved the concept - now we're scaling! We want people who are energized by growth and willing to work hard every day. We also value being human and having balance, so if you show up and work your butt off during the times you're on, we protect and respect the times you are off. We want you to feel supported and have fun every day!
