Role Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced Operations | Production Manager to lead the production department and support the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the facility. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, this role is responsible for directing and overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations while ensuring alignment with company goals, operational excellence initiatives, and regulatory compliance standards.


The ideal candidate will be a strategic, results-driven manufacturing leader with experience driving continuous improvement, leading teams in a fast-paced production environment, and implementing operational efficiencies that improve safety, quality, and productivity



Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and direct all manufacturing and production activities.
  • Partner with plant and corporate functional leaders to optimize labor, materials, and equipment utilization to meet production objectives.
  • Coordinate and facilitate production shutdowns and start-ups for maintenance activities.
  • Ensure projects and departmental goals are achieved within established timelines, budget, and quality standards.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve safety concerns, incidents, and operational issues.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure team accountability for workplace safety and product quality.
  • Develop and execute manufacturing cost-savings initiatives to support annual operational goals.
  • Provide full-cycle performance management, coaching, and leadership support for direct reports.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and operational outcomes.
  • Ensure plant operations comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field required.
  • 5โ€“10+ years of direct management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience within a chemical manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive operational performance, and deliver measurable results.
  • Strong strategic planning and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of KPI management and performance metrics.
  • Experience developing, managing, and executing operating budgets and forecasts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated professional integrity, sound judgment, and decisiveness.
