We are seeking an experienced SIOP Consultant to support the development, deployment, and stabilization of the end-to-end Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) process for our Rockford, IL location. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive demand planning accuracy, establish governance processes, support production site transition activities, and ensure operational readiness through effective inventory and capacity planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement end-to-end SIOP/S&OP processes aligned with business objectives
• Collaborate with demand planning teams to validate forecasts and align production transition plans
• Establish governance structures and lead SIOP review meetings including demand review, supply review, pre-SIOP, and executive SIOP sessions
• Monitor and analyze SIOP metrics including forecast accuracy, inventory coverage, demand adherence, and capacity utilization
• Manage demand and buffer purchase orders to ensure uninterrupted production during site transition activities
• Coordinate with supply chain, procurement, production planning, and program management teams for execution alignment
• Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning and operations
• Support risk identification and mitigation planning related to supply, demand, and capacity constraints
• Document SIOP procedures, workflows, governance standards, and training materials
• Provide data-driven insights, reporting, and scenario analysis to leadership teams
Required Qualifications:
• Strong experience in SIOP / S&OP deployment within manufacturing, aerospace, or related industries
• Hands-on experience in demand planning, supply chain planning, inventory management, and production planning
• Experience leading cross-functional SIOP review cycles and governance processes
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems, forecasting methodologies, and data analysis tools
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and facilitation skills
• Ability to work onsite in Rockford, Illinois
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting production relocation or transition programs
• Knowledge of buffer planning and risk-based inventory management
• Aerospace industry experience preferred
• APICS/ASCM or related supply chain certification is a plus
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Master’s Degree or MBA preferred but not mandatory
