Job description

Job Description:

The Project Manager, Production Control &Planningis responsible for driving the execution of production planning activities across the manufacturing network. This role ensures alignment between demand, supply, and capacity by coordinating cross-functional efforts and maintaining an accurate, executable production plan.

Acting as a key partner to Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering, this role owns the coordination of planning inputs, tracks performance against plan, and proactively identifies and resolves risks impacting delivery, capacity, and inventory. The Project Manager plays a critical role in supporting SIOP/S&OE execution, enabling disciplined planning and reliable operational performance.

Primary Duties

  • Develop and maintain production and inventory plans aligned to demand forecasts, capacity, and material availability

  • Coordinate production scheduling activities and proactively adjust plans to address constraints, delays, and disruptions

  • Drive cross-functional coordination with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Engineering to ensure alignment of materials, resources, and production priorities

  • Monitor execution against plan, identifying risks to delivery, capacity, or inventory and driving resolution actions

  • Analyze production, capacity, and inventory data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities

  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), providing visibility to performance and emerging issues

  • Support and execute SIOP and S&OE processes, ensuring alignment between planning and daily execution

  • Coordinate change initiatives, including new product introductions, engineering changes, and process improvements

  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards

  • Communicate risks, issues, and recovery actions clearly to stakeholders

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Requires aBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; 0-3 years of experience in production planning, project coordination, or manufacturing operations, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred: Internship or prior exposure to manufacturing or supply chain environments.

  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, material flow, and production scheduling concepts.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.

  • Strong communicationand collaboration skills across teams.

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP or planning systems is a plus.

Essential Mental and Physical Functions:

  • Ability to apply critical thinking and make sound decisions under guidance.

  • Frequent standing and movement between office and manufacturing areas.

  • Ability to use computer systems for extended periods.

  • Occasionallifting upto 25 pounds.

  • Frequent interaction with cross-functional teams.
