Description
Retail Marketing Manager
The Retail Marketing Manager will be responsible to develop and execute strategic retail operation plans of in-store marketing and sales initiatives including, but not limited to, working cross departments to design and procure point-of-sale materials, new merchandising solutions, managing trade dollars for account specific promotions and activations, and retail selling events. This Retail Marketing Manager will be required to be the key point of contact for our retail business partners nationally associated Account Managers. Their main objective will be to work closely with the sales department to ensure the integrity of our Brand is upheld in our retail partners locations as well as all marketing initiatives have impact/exposure at the point of sale. The Retail Marketing Manager will report to the VP of Brand Strategy and VP of Sales and Marketing.
Examples of Duties/Essential Functions:
  • Leads the strategic development and planning of all in-store marketing and signage initiatives.
  • Develops and manages weekly, monthly and annual strategic plans for all marketing and in-store signage based on merchandising initiatives, sales goals and shopper insights.
  • Collaborate with account and merchandising team to develop marketing plans, displays, promotions and events that foster customer engagement, drive traffic and increase sales.
  • Directs the process for the entire in-store campaign planning and execution lifecycle from inception to completion including establishing budgets, writing business briefs to establish goals for each initiative for retail customers and internal merchandising staff, organize the production and distribution of marketing and POS collateral.

Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior marketing.
  • Strong communication skills for successful interaction with senior level customers and internal senior leadership alike.
  • Knowledge of current consumer retail sales and industry trends.
  • Manage, motivate, direct and coordinate activities of team members to meet and/or exceed sales/merchandizing goals and objectives.
  • Creative and analytical thinking, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong understanding of the brand and retailer creative development and procurement process from concept to execution - in-store displays, selling event activations and promotional sales programs.
  • Microsoft Office.

Minimum Requirements
Qualification Standards:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field required.
  • 3-5 Years - Retail shopper marketing experience as well as promotional sales program execution experience required. A focus on CPG or food is preferred.
  • Strategic thinking ability and creative development to bring breakthrough ideas to build brand in market.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time, detail oriented, and work well under pressure.
  • Superior customer service focus.
  • Working knowledge of basic PC applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 25% and work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Must have REAL ID or passport for travel.
  • A "can do" attitude with a strong drive for result.

Salary range: $80,000-$86,000 based on experience
