Field Service Engineer – Industrial Pumps & Rotating Equipment (Based in Fresno, CA)


We are seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Fresno, California to support customers with equipment installation, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and warranty activities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with customers, and supporting critical industrial equipment in the field. As the primary technical liaison between the company and its customers, you'll play a key role in ensuring successful equipment performance while partnering with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and sales teams to deliver outstanding customer support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the installation, startup, and commissioning of industrial pump systems at customer sites.
  • Diagnose equipment and system issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support for installation, startup, troubleshooting, and warranty-related inquiries.
  • Analyze operational and performance data to improve equipment reliability.
  • Prepare detailed field service reports documenting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate startup activities and ensure projects are completed on schedule.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with company safety standards and quality procedures.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with industrial machinery; pump or rotating equipment experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred. A technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.
  • Knowledge of machine design, fluid mechanics, and manufacturing processes is a plus.
  • Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and bills of materials.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong customer-service mindset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.


Travel

  • Up to 25% domestic and occasional international travel to support customer installations, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting.
