We are seeking a Linux Server Engineer with Network Administration expertise to design, implement, and maintain our server and network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance in a fast-paced financial environment.

Role Summary

The Linux Server Engineer will be responsible for architecting and managing Linux-based servers, virtualization, and network infrastructure. This role requires strong technical expertise in server engineering, automation, and network administration, including Cisco and Arista switches and routers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain Linux servers (CentOS, Ubuntu, RHEL) for production and development environments.
  • Implement server architecture for scalability, performance, and security.
  • Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM) and cloud integrations (AWS/Azure).
  • Automate server provisioning and patching using scripting (Bash, Python, Ansible).
  • Monitor system health and performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
  • Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including:
  • Cisco routers and switches
  • Arista switches
  • VLANs, routing protocols, and firewall rules
  • Ensure compliance with financial industry standards (PCI DSS, SOC).
  • Perform capacity planning, disaster recovery, and backup strategies.
  • Collaborate with application teams to support deployment and integration of financial systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex server, network, and storage issues promptly.
