About The Role

Our client is searching for an experienced Azure Systems Engineer to maintain, support, and enhance their cloud infrastructure. This role is crucial in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, which are essential for business operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, deploy, and manage Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions, including virtual machines, storage accounts, networking, and databases.
  • Maintain and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including host pool management and application delivery.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and security using system management and monitoring tools.
  • Perform incident reporting, investigation, and resolution for production issues, collaborating with internal IT teams to minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues across Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, networking, and endpoint environments using a methodical approach.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices across cloud and SaaS platforms.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide critical system support.
  • Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions, including Azure Site Recovery, backups, and restore points.
  • In-depth understanding of creating and deploying Microsoft Entra Conditional Access Policies.
  • Perform Helpdesk-related tasks and support productivity platforms in a multi-tenant environment.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience working as an Azure Systems Engineer or in a similar cloud infrastructure role.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Compute, Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups (NSG) management, and Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Server 2019โ€“2025, including roles management and system maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 subscriptions and services, including full administration of M365 tenant environments, identity management using Microsoft Entra (Azure AD), and security management using Microsoft 365 Defender.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud, identity, networking, and end-user environments.
  • Experience working in multi-tenant environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Desired skills include experience with Kaseya, familiarity with Microsoft Purview, and exposure to multi-cloud environments.
