Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is looking for an Azure Systems Engineer for an onsite, full-time position with a client in the Leawood, KS area.
Responsibilities:
* Supporting, operating, and maintaining Technology Infrastructure, Data Centers, and Enterprise Technology Platforms
* Provide standard business hour technical support, with rotational 24 by 7 on-call coverage, for support incidents generated via monitoring, scheduled change management, and support issue escalation
* Azure Systems Engineer will own operational health of infrastructure platforms, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response
* Participate in and lead root cause analysis efforts, implementing improvements to prevent recurrence
* Own and operate cloud-based and hybrid infrastructure services in Microsoft Azure, including design decisions, configuration, and ongoing optimization
* Drive adoption of cloud-first solutions and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards
* Partner with application teams and IT groups to deliver scalable, resilient, and well-integrated infrastructure solutions
* As an Azure Systems Engineer, you will develop and maintain automation for infrastructure deployment, configuration, and operations across cloud and on-premises environments using scripting and Infrastructure as Code
* Continuously identify and eliminate manual processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and speed of delivery
REQUIREMENTS:
* 4+ years of experience in similar systems administration role
* A background and experience supporting, developing, and delivering technology solutions
* Experience with Cloud Services (Azure) and other providers
* Experience building and maintaining automation using scripting or Infrastructure as Code
* Knowledge of Infrastructure Technologies (Compute, Storage, Virtualization, Infrastructure as Code)
* Skilled in Cybersecurity principles and best practices
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to collaborate and enable others through shared knowledge and solutions
Preferred Requirements:
* Degree in Information Systems Management or related field
* Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or equivalent industry certification
* Cloud-first technology advocacy and experience designing solutions in Azure
* Experience with automation frameworks, scripting, or deployment tooling
* Experience improving system reliability through monitoring, alerting, or post-incident analysis
* Personal drive to grow technology skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
