The team strives to provide innovative services that align with each client's unique business needs.

Role Description
  • We're looking for a mid-to-senior level Network/Server Engineer to join our team in a mostly remote capacity. This role combines hands-on technical support with project delivery, giving you the opportunity to both troubleshoot complex environments and build scalable infrastructure solutions.

You'll work directly with clients, own technical outcomes, and play a key role in delivering reliable IT environments that support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • This is a mid-to-senior level role requiring the ability to independently own client issues and projects
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for managed services clients, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of network and server infrastructure
  • Design, implement, and deploy network and server projects (e.g., migrations, upgrades, new site deployments, cloud integrations)
  • Manage client environments across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud platforms
  • Some collaboration with the project management and sales teams to scope and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Document solutions, processes, and configurations for internal and client use
  • Participate in on-call rotation (rotated fairly among the team)
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in network and server engineering, preferably in a managed services or MSP environment
  • Strong expertise with networking technologies (Cisco, WatchGuard, Aruba, firewalls, VPNs, routing/switching, SD-WAN)
  • Solid server administration experience (Windows Server, Scale Computing, Linux, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, virtualization - Hyper-V, etc.)
  • Proven track record of both reactive client support and successful project delivery
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills - you'll be interacting directly with clients and internal teams
  • Relevant certifications are a big plus (CCNA, CCNP, Azure Administrator, AWS, MCSA/MCSE, etc.)

Bonus Points If You Have
  • Experience with modern cloud-first environments (Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365)
  • Familiarity with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python)
  • Previous experience mentoring junior technicians
  • A passion for process improvement and documentation

What We Offer
  • Mostly remote with occasional onsite client visits in Southeast Wisconsin (typically a few times a month)
  • Salary range $75,000 - $90,000 based on experience

  • We leverage modern MSP tools including RMM, documentation platforms, and standardized deployment processes to ensure efficiency and consistency.
