Job Summary:
Themis Insight, LLC is a consulting firm that addresses complex business, IT, and analytic problems through innovative and practical solutions. They are seeking an Application Engineer 3 (Linux Server) to perform Linux server administration functions, including configuring and maintaining Linux servers, monitoring, and assisting with security compliance controls.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Stand up, configure, and maintain Linux servers.
โ€ข Monitoring and patching/upgrades to Linux servers and AWS instances.
โ€ข Assist and incorporate security compliance controls as applicable.
โ€ข Support documentation of non-applicable controls.
โ€ข Assist with installation of new or replacement hardware or software.
โ€ข Configure and integrate hardware or software with existing networked infrastructure.
โ€ข Assist with decommission and/or removal of obsolete, excess, or replaced hardware.
โ€ข Document inventory changes.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข TS/SCI with a Polygraph
โ€ข All experience and education will be in a technical field directly related to the labor category being proposed and all diplomas, GED certificates, and degrees will be from accredited institutions.
โ€ข Ten (10) years minimum experience and a High School Diploma/GED.
โ€ข Eight (8) years minimum experience and an Associate's Degree.
โ€ข Six (6) years minimum experience and a Bachelor's Degree.
โ€ข Four (4) years minimum experience and a Master's Degree.
โ€ข Two (2) years minimum experience and a Doctorate's Degree.
โ€ข Proficient with Linux. Minimum of 3 years Linux server administration experience (within the last 3 years).
โ€ข Proficient with AWS. Minimum of 1 year of AWS experience (within the last year).
โ€ข Proficient with Ansible. Minimum of 1 year of Ansible experience (within the last year).
โ€ข Experience with patching and upgrading Linux servers and AWS instances.
