Senior Technical Editor

Celestar Corporation is seeking a Senior Technical Editor to support USCYBERCOM J2. The primary place of performance will be in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Responsibilities
  • Reviews intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as for logic, clarity, and consistency. Ensures that style and format conform to agency publication standards and that language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields. Amends draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure the content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text.
  • Ensures proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance.
  • Works with authors to revise products for narrative organization, and negotiates further revisions as needed.
  • Assists in the management of all J2 finished intelligence products approved for external dissemination.
  • Researches and collects information from internal and external stakeholder subject matter experts as well as other sources.
  • Analyzes, interprets, cross-checks, and edits intelligence products as required, to ensure accuracy and compliance with associated Intelligence Community guidance, to include but not limited to ICDs 206, 209, 501 and 710.
  • Organizes information, determines optimum method of presentation, and creates content according to plan.
  • Ensures completed materials fulfill the specified purpose and scope.
  • Assists in determining and supervising the production process for completed materials.
  • Documents Operating Instructions (OIs) for Command wide programs and initiatives as assigned by the Government.
Required Qualifications/Skills
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years, and a masterโ€™s degree.
  • -OR-
  • A minimum of 17 years of experience related to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years, and a bachelorโ€™s degree.
  • Demonstrates in-depth knowledge and understanding of the labor category activities required to meet mission requirements.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
  • Active TS/SCI with a current polygraph (within 5 years).
