Job Summary

The Talent Manager reports to the Head of Talent Management COE and is responsible for leading a Center of Excellence area (talent management and leadership development) in creating, implementing and supporting the company’s talent platforms to execute business strategy. The Talent Manager will provide thought leadership and facilitate the development and delivery of a strategic framework for talent initiatives and programs across the enterprise, proactively integrating global perspectives in the development of strategies, processes, and metrics in Harley-Davidson’s worldwide locations. The Talent Manager will collaborate with other COE’s (Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, etc.) to ensure an integrated approach to the employee lifecycle.

Job Responsibilities

Talent Management:

  • Collaborates with peers to integrate processes which may include workforce planning and analysis, talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, employee development reviews (EDR), support of succession planning and rewards. May be involved in the execution of initiatives and programs, including facilitation, consultation and analysis.
  • The manager will identify and recommend opportunities to improve and align supporting systems and creates and implements an integrated approach to talent.

Leadership Development:

  • Works with business leaders, Human Resources Leaders, and Talent Acquisition team to understand business needs and build annual and long-term leadership development plans.
  • Builds a high performing TM team through goals, metrics, skill development and execution.
  • Assesses talent development process, identify improvement opportunities and participate in / lead enterprise improvement initiatives.
  • Provides thought leadership to strategic leadership development initiatives. 
Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Education Specifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Master's Degree a plus; Related certifications a plus
Experience Requirements

This position typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.  In addition, the successful candidate will have demonstrated the following:

  • Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal, leadership, facilitation, project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain highly effective relationships, externally and internally, is essential.
  • The ability to influence professionals of senior management level is critical.
  • Ability to work individually and employ solid decision-making skills.
  • Exposure to sensitive information requires confidentiality and use of discretion.
  • Comfort working in HR Technology systems 

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
