Position Summary:
The Senior Learning & Leadership Development Consultant is responsible for designing, developing, and facilitating engaging learning experiences that build leadership capability, professional skills, and workplace effectiveness across a variety of organizations. This role combines instructional design expertise, dynamic facilitation skills, client relationship management, and business development support.
The ideal candidate is highly self-directed and capable of creating meaningful, high-impact learning solutions with limited guidance. They are an engaging facilitator who can connect with audiences at all organizational levels and deliver exceptional learning experiences both in person and virtually.
This position is hybrid, with most of the work performed on-site. Periodic travel throughout the state and nationally is required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Learning Design & Content Development
  • Design, develop, and continuously improve leadership development, professional development, and soft-skills training programs.
  • Create engaging facilitator guides, participant materials, presentations, activities, assessments, and supporting resources.
  • Conduct learning needs assessments and translate business needs into effective learning solutions.
  • Develop learning experiences that incorporate adult learning principles, experiential learning, discussion, coaching, and practical application.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and modify content based on participant feedback, organizational goals, and learning outcomes.
  • Stay current on leadership, organizational development, learning science, and workforce trends to ensure content remains relevant and impactful.

Facilitation & Delivery
  • Facilitate engaging, high-energy training programs for employees, leaders, executives, and external clients.
  • Deliver training in classroom, workshop, virtual, and blended learning formats.
  • Create a positive and professional learning environment that encourages participation, collaboration, and application.
  • Effectively facilitate discussions, role plays, simulations, coaching exercises, and team activities.
  • Adapt facilitation style to meet the needs of diverse audiences and learning preferences.

Coaching & Development
  • Support leaders and employees through coaching conversations focused on performance, development, and growth.
  • Apply behavioral insights and coaching techniques to improve individual and team effectiveness.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of leadership coaching programs and developmental initiatives.

Client & Business Development Support
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Participate in client discovery conversations to identify development needs and recommend learning solutions.
  • Assist in promoting and expanding leadership development, training, and speaking services.
  • Represent the organization professionally while delivering exceptional client experiences.
  • Support proposal development, program customization, and follow-up activities with clients.

Team & Organizational Support
  • Serve as a backup facilitator for employee onboarding, new account training, lending training, and other organizational learning programs as needed.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development team members to ensure continuity of training operations.
  • Assist with special projects and organizational initiatives as assigned.
  • Maintain training records, schedules, and learning documentation as required.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional facilitation and training delivery experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of instructional design and content development experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience, including leading teams, projects, or organizational initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience creating training content independently with limited direction.
  • Experience facilitating leadership development, professional development, or workplace skills training.

Preferred
  • Experience within the banking, credit union, or financial services industry.
  • Experience with leadership coaching or executive coaching methodologies.
  • Familiarity with behavioral assessments and personality-based development tools (DISC, DiSC, CliftonStrengths, Predictive Index, MBTI, Insights Discovery, etc.).
  • Experience delivering training to external clients.
  • Experience supporting business development, sales, or consulting engagements.
