Job description

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler for a contract to hire position with a Major Utility Company located in Wheatfield, IN. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This role involves managing complex project schedules in accordance with industry best practices. The ideal candidate will develop, analyze, and manage integrated project baselines using P6 scheduling software, apply risk management techniques, and ensure project performance is effectively measured and forecasted.
Responsibilities:
  • Increase proficiency in schedule development, analysis, and integrated cost/schedule forecasting using quantitative risk management tools
  • Develop qualitative and risk-managed integrated project baselines to measure project performance
  • Apply integrated objective risk management to project baselines to optimize project risk responses
  • Orchestrate contract commercial management, conduct performance assessments, and forecast change management
  • Review and coordinate the use of project management guidelines, standards, and tools
  • Direct and tailor schedule management processes to advance schedule performance
  • Manage the project schedule performance baseline and forecast schedule variance (SV)
  • Drive schedule assessment and analysis processes, integrating quality and risk response planning
  • Perform standard and advanced project schedule reporting for stakeholders
  • Drive a project integration mindset of people, processes, and tools
  • Become a project subject matter expert for proposed corrective, preventive, and predictive actions

Requirements:
  • High School diploma and four years of experience as a scheduler OR High School diploma and six years of construction/engineering experience (with two years as a project scheduler) OR Bachelor's Degree and four years' experience as a project scheduler
  • Familiarity with the use of P6 scheduling software
  • Integrated knowledge base in project scope-schedule-cost and risk-quality management
  • Integrated comprehension and application of project management guidelines and standards
  • Proficiency in risk and quality management tools and techniques
  • High degree of proficiency in spreadsheet development and utilization
  • Effective stakeholder management, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Valid driver's license

Desired skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree and four years' experience as a project scheduler
  • Advanced ability to plan and schedule, including generating schedule levels of hierarchy
  • Experience in large industrial Capital Project environments
  • Ability to read and interpret schedules

Pay range: up to $70.00 per hour
