Job description

The YMCA of Central Texas is seeking a talented and creative individual to join our team of passionate professionals as the Senior Program Director in charge of ChildWatch in Cedar Park, TX at the Twin Lakes Family YMCA.

Under the direction of the Twin Lakes Family YMCA Associate Director, the Senior Program Director will oversee the success of the Twin Lakes Family YMCA Childwatch Department, Campus Birthday Parties, and Branch communications with marketing.

The ideal candidate, with direct reports, will be responsible in the following areas:

  • ChildWatch Program Growth - Increase ChildWatch participation from 5,228 participants in 2026 to 5,250 in 2027 and 5,370 participants by 2028.
  • Birthday Party Program Growth - Expand Sky Trail birthday parties with 353 parties in 2026 and continued annual growth in 2027 and 2028. Increase branch birthday parties from 64 events in 2026 to 120 events annually.
  • Budget Management - Meet department revenue, net, payroll ratio, and surplus goals.
  • Campus Marketing & Events - Collaborate with branch departments to submit newsletter information within association marketing guidelines, support planning and execution of special events, cross-promote YMCA programs between branches, and support Community Impact Committee goals and initiatives.
  • Staff Leadership - Recruit, train, supervise, and develop quality staff and volunteer leaders.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • ChildWatch and birthday party program oversight
  • Staff supervision, hiring, training, coaching, and ensuring safe operations
  • Working with Core Groups to determine best practices and ensure standards are met
  • Managing balanced budgets and planned program growth
  • Supporting branch special events, newsletter submissions, and association marketing initiatives
  • Cross-promoting YMCA programs and events between departments and branches
  • Director on Duty responsibilities as assigned
  • Supporting Strong Kids Campaign and fundraising initiatives
  • Staff training and leadership development

Qualifications:

  • Prefer a bachelor's degree in business management, a related field or equivalent experience
  • Highly motivated, organized, personable, enthusiastic displaying leadership abilities.
  • Five or more years of experience in supervising or directing programs as a program and/or center director preferred
  • YMCA Team Leader or Multi-Team/Branch Leader certification preferred
  • Are adaptable, flexible, and enjoy variety in your work environment including periodic weekends and non-business hour workdays
  • Serve as a leader in the Annual Giving campaign and other fundraising initiatives
  • Model the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility; implement character development and the YMCA core values in all programs and all aspects of Center operations
  • Must be able to pass background and drug screening

Salary: $55,000-$60,000 DOE
