We are growing and are seeking a Senior Program Director for our Afterschool and Day Camp team.
Job Description
The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas is seeking an experienced Senior Program Director to provide strategic leadership for a team of Program Directors and their Part-Time Teams leading Afterschool, Day Camp, and Holiday Camp within the Dallas region. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position requires a strategic and emotionally mature leader with strong decision-making ability, sound judgment, and the capacity to lead other leaders in a complex and fast-moving operational environment. The successful candidate will have proven ability in the leadership and development of full time staff and operational excellence. The Senior Program Director serves as a key member of the Childcare leadership team and contributes to advancing the strategic goals and long-term impact of the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. This position will office out of the White Rock YMCA.
  • Leadership Responsibilities
    Lead and develop 4-6 Program Directors ensuring safety, quality, and strong customer experience and programs of excellence and exceptional standards, as measured by Listen 360 scores, Staff Retention, Program Enrollment, and more.
  • Align territory operations with YMCA and Childcare Branch strategic priorities.
  • Provide fiscal oversight of a $5M+ budget.
  • Build strong relationships with school district partners and community stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience including supervision and development of leadership-level staff.
  • Experience managing multi-site operations and large teams.
  • Demonstrated experience managing budgets exceeding $3M.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • The ideal candidate demonstrates strong emotional intelligence, leadership presence, and the ability to lead through others while maintaining stable, high-performing teams.
