Job description

Senior Product Owner 

The Senior Product Owner supports in executing product initiatives and delivering value to customers. This role focuses on backlog support, requirement definition, and cross-functional coordination, while developing product management skills and domain expertise. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborates with the development team to clarify requirements and gather feedback on work in progress 
  • Supports the backlog refinement and prioritization activities 
  • Writes and reviews user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases 
  • Assists in coordinating with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate updates 
  • Participates in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives 
  • Helps track sprint progress, identify blockers, and escalate risks or issues as needed 
  • Supports validation and testing efforts to ensure requirements are met 
  • Documents product requirements, decisions, and updates to maintain alignment across teams 
  • Assists in gathering and summarizing customer feedback and product performance insights 
  • Conducts research on market trends, customer needs, and competitor products to support product decisions 
  • Stays current on relevant tools, technologies, and Agile best practices  
  • Performs responsibilities that regularly involve in-person collaboration based on business needs, with reasonable accommodations provided in accordance with applicable laws,  

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field, or equivalent experience 
  • 5-7 years of experience in product, business analysis, project coordination, or Agile environments 
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) 
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 
  • Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines 
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities 
  • Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Exposure to product lifecycle or software delivery 
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification (nice to have, not required)
