Blue Seal Retail, LLC, a member of the KENT WORLDWIDEâ„¢ family of companies is looking for a Senior Store Associate to join our team at our Brattleboro, VT store! The Senior Store Associate serves as a key contributor to the success of our store! This full-time position offers a competitive salary and an outstanding benefits package including health insurance, 401K plan, and an employee discount! Must have weekend availability.

  • The compensation range for this role is $17.00 to $18.00 an hour in addition to KENT standard benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k). Final compensation is subject to variation based on the candidate's skills, job responsibilities, location and other pertinent factors.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Store Associate role is responsible for demonstrating exceptional customer service and sales skills on a regular basis. Obtaining product knowledge will serve as a key component as you assist customers and share your wide range of knowledge in your specialized area. This position is required to effectively manage and oversee sales, reconcile transactions, and prepare daily deposits. Managing inventory is another area of importance as the individual is required to purchase, price, and order merchandise. This position is structured for an action-oriented individual who leads by example and has the ability to spend extended periods of time walking and standing.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exceptional Sales Specialist
  • Successfully operate computer POS system
  • Manage inventory through merchandising, purchasing, pricing, and ordering
  • Process and label orders
  • Receive incoming products and determine retail price
  • Manage cash and credit card transactions
  • Reconcile end of day sales and prepare deposit
  • Review and manage available vendor promotions
  • Inside store maintenance including cleaning customer area, restrooms, breakroom, stockroom, and shelving
  • Stock shelves in retail
  • Design merchandise displays
  • Specialize in ag-related knowledge
  • Obtain product knowledge through independent research
  • Contribute to the care and handling of live animals within the store
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Answer customer inquiries pertaining to products
  • Effectively communicate with the warehouse staff to coordinate timely customer pick-up
  • Assist in the Warehouse when needed
  • Other duties as assigned by Store Management

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have 1-2 years’ experience as a Store Associate at Blue Seal or similar retailer
  • Have a solid work history
  • Customer service skills
  • Animal, retail and agriculture knowledge helpful
  • Work independently as well as with others
  • Position requires working outside in all weather conditions
  • Ability to Lift 50 pounds
