Job description

OVERVIEW

As the Senior Merchandiser, Accessories you will lead, create and drive assortment strategies.  By partnering in being the owner of the Accessories department, being the expert on customer needs and marketplace capacity, you will be the lead of building consumer focused assortments.  You will select products that meet financial plans and deliver business results. The Senior Merchandiser will drive cross-functional alignment with Design and Production to ensure the right product is delivered on- time and meets cost targets. This position will serve as the strategic business driver for the product development, ensuring product and presentation enhances the brand while achieving sales targets and maintains brand integrity for both Stores and Web.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Develop seasonal & annual strategies for Accessories categories that meet or exceed sales goals, margin targets, and align to the overarching company strategy
  • Create and communicate seasonal line plans to guide design, product development and production in support of company objectives
  • Merchandise and present seasonal product assortments that meet sales and margin targets
  • Present seasonal product assortment to upper management, wholesale and global teams
  • Create assortment strategies with an understanding of fabric and materials, as well as lead times
  • Track business performance; Identify risks and opportunities for reacting to current business
  • Create and communicate pricing strategies that align with brand positioning
  • Rank styles based on historical and current product performance, as well as sell through
  • Communicate to appropriate cross-functional partners
  • Lead reference point of contact for cross function partners regarding calendar, and deliveries
  • Provide thorough and meaningful analysis of channels and effectively articulate learnings to management and cross-functional partners
  • Maintain and demonstrate expert knowledge of customer base through strong field relationships, frequently visiting stores and constantly reaching out for direct consumer feedback
  • Maintain and demonstrate constant understanding of the competitive environment
  • Participate in product review to ensure execution meets design aesthetic
  • Participate in key business meeting throughout the product creation process

REQUIREMENTS

  • A minimum of 6+ years Merchandising experience (Omni, International and Wholesale)
  • 2 years of leadership/management experience preferred
  • Entrepreneur spirit
  • Strong relationships and experience with product development, design, production and buying teams
  • Deep knowledge of current Women's market
  • Natural leader and problem solver with a growth mindset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong excel skills
  • Luxury experience preferred

The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company's total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
