Job Title: Senior Merchandiser- Men's Sportswear & Denim (Off-Price & Clubs)

Position Overview
Catalyst Brands is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Merchandiser to lead the Men's business across the Off-Price and Clubs channel. This role is responsible for building compelling assortments, driving seasonal strategies, and maximizing business performance through strong analytical and cross-functional leadership. The ideal candidate brings sharp commercial instincts, deep product expertise, and strong business acumen to effectively balance brand vision with channel-specific needs.
Key Responsibilities
Merchandising Strategy & Assortment Planning
  • Develop and execute seasonal assortment strategies tailored to Off-Price and Clubs accounts, ensuring alignment with brand positioning, account needs, pricing architecture, and margin targets
  • Analyze historical performance, market trends, and account insights to inform line architecture and product decisions
  • Manage timelines and ensure on-time delivery of key milestones and market tools

Product Development & Execution
  • Partner closely with Design and Sourcing teams to bring concepts to market that meet cost, quality, and timeline expectations
  • Translate customer and channel needs into clear product briefs and development direction
  • Ensure product assortments are commercially viable while maintaining brand integrity

Channel & Account Focus
  • Understand the nuances of each retailer and tailor assortments accordingly
  • Collaborate with Sales to support seasonal markets, presentations and line reviews
  • Identify opportunities to expand categories, increase penetration, and drive growth within the Value channel

Analytics & Reporting
  • Leverage advanced Excel skills to analyze sales and performance data
  • Use data-driven insights to influence decision-making and optimize future assortments

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Sales, Planning, Design, and Sourcing teams to ensure alignment and execution of business strategies
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams to deliver against deadlines and financial targets
  • Mentor and develop junior merchandising team members, fostering a high-performing team environment

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of merchandising experience in apparel, including at least 2 years of management experience
  • Experience working within Off-Price and/or Clubs channels (e.g., Costco, Sam's Club, mass retailers)
  • Proven expertise in assortment building and line planning
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and timelines
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to influence across functions
