GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Senior Director of Store Merchandising Initiatives is responsible for leading all strategic merchandising initiatives and projects for both Ross and dd's brands. Store Merchandising initiatives and strategic projects include (but are not limited to) updating store merchandise presentations, implementation of new product categories and programs, updating in-store fixture and signage programs, etc. The Senior Director will be the primary point of contact for the Merchant Operations organization in New York and Los Angeles and in this capacity will be responsible for executing merchandising programs and strategies in stores through influence, communication, collaboration, and effective project management skills. Additionally, they are responsible for leading all vendors and cross-functional business partners required to execute merchandising initiatives and deliver on project budgets and forecasted expenditures. The Senior Director works closely with GVP, SVP, EVP level leaders in Store Operations as well as the buying offices, and in close partnership with Stores, Marketing, Finance, IT, Loss Prevention, and Strategic Sourcing.
The base salary range for this role is $152,200 - $286,450. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Leads and develops a team of high performing associates with a focus on execution, project management, problem solving, and process management.
• Provides strategic planning and governance in partnership with senior leaders and other business partners to lead new merchandising projects and initiatives for Ross and dd's in collaboration with the Buying offices in NY and LA.
• Is the lead partner for senior field leaders (SVP/RVP) on all merchandising initiatives and troubleshooting. In this role is the first responder and primary source of communication and executive updates for all merchandising initiatives; is responsible for building consensus on all changes, issues, and rollout plans.
• Leads and supports merchandising initiatives and programs as it relates to all other store operations programs, priorities and initiatives including New Store Openings, Remodels and Special Projects.
• Owns and maintains all expense and capital budgets associated with all related Merchandising projects and initiatives. Ensures projects are executed on time and within budget.
• As required, owns everyday signing and merchandising programs and vendor relationships in both brands including support of New Stores and Remodels; supports development and implementation of promotional signing initiatives; support other activities in Store Operations as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:
• BA/BS required, MBA preferred
• 5-7 years of Store Operations experience, preferred
• 5-7 years leading teams in Corporate or Multi-Unit settings
• 5-7 years of Project Management/PMO experience
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:
Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. Also requires working in stores (sometimes before/after store hours) and some travel, as required.
Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc.
Consistent timeliness and regular attendance.
Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically.
This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work. #LI-Hybrid
