Job description

Tupelo Honey is seeking an experienced Senior IT Manger to join the buzz at our โ€œHiveโ€ corporate team. The Senior IT Manager will be responsible for the oversight of the IT department, design of new IT solutions; as well as the modification, and enhancement of existing systems. The Senior IT Manager will aim to improve business efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate must possess a high level of technical networking or systems expertise and clear insight into current business practices.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute the organizationโ€™s IT roadmap aligned with operational and business objectives.
  • Partner with executive leadership to identify technology opportunities that improve efficiency, guest experience, and scalability.
  • Analyze existing systems and business models and provide recommendations for enhancements in order to better serve our business.
  • Identify and understand potential business solutions and assess them for both technical and business suitability.
  • Oversee the maintenance, optimization, and security of all IT systems, networks, and platforms.
  • Ensure data integrity of all systems and configurations.
  • Conduct requirement analysis and prepare specific proposals for modified or replacement systems.
  • Work closely with colleagues, developers, testers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
  • Oversee IT support for smooth restaurant operations and minimal downtime.
  • Oversee WAN/LAN connectivity and network uptime across all restaurant and corporate locations.
  • Create and maintain IT SOPs and knowledge documentation
  • Draw up, supervise and document testing schedule for new systems.
  • Support end users on change control and system updates.
  • Keep up to date with technical and industry developments.
  • Manage the 3rd party vendor for after-hours support and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure that budgets are adhered to and deadlines are met.
  • Liaison extensively with external or internal clients and vendors.
  • Coordinate new restaurant openings, relocations, and remodel technology deployments.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Bachelor or Associates degree in IT
  • 4-6 years progressive experience in IT, preferably in Systems or Network Engineering roles.
  • Experience working Windows Server environments, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure and Active Directory
  • Expertise in cloud computing, data analytics, cybersecurity, and software development lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and the OSI model
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office ecosystem
  • Knowledge of Helpdesk administratio
  • Ability to perform effective under pressure and meet multiple project deadlines.
  • Ability to contribute effectively and independently manage workflow and productivity.
  • Must be available for minimal travel.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • History of Database Administration โ€“ Microsoft SQL Server preferred
  • Experience administrating BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI
  • Strong understanding of POS systems, restaurant technology solutions, and operational workflows
  • General understanding of electrical systems and computer hardware engineering
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-location environment
  • Availability to support urgent escalations when necessary
