Krispy Kreme’s Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for leading the assessment, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs for corporate and operations employees. This role requires strategic oversight of learning initiatives that align with Krispy Kreme's culture and values while ensuring consistency and high impact across the organization. The Senior Instructional Designer will also mentor junior instructional designers and contribute to shaping the overall learning strategy.

A TASTE OF WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
  • Project Leadership: Lead instructional global design projects, including cross‑functional initiatives, ensuring successful design and development of content. Coaches project teams and guides best practices in instructional design.
  • Learning Solutions: Design innovative global learning solutions (e.g., adaptive learning, microlearning, video production, AI, etc.) to meet global learner needs and enhance engagement.
  • Mentorship and Development: Mentor and support Instructional Designers and Learning Developers, providing feedback, guidance, and training to develop their skills and ensure high‑quality deliverables.
  • Evaluation and Impact Measurement: Develop and implement evaluation strategies to measure the effectiveness of learning programs. Use data‑driven insights to refine and improve learning solutions continually.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a critical liaison with leadership in other global functions to ensure training programs support objectives and drive performance improvements.
  • Learning Technology Expertise: Drive the usage of existing technologies and tools to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of training.
  • Change Management: Provide change management recommendations to ensure the smooth implementation of new learning initiatives and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:
  • 5+ years of progressive training and development experience, with a demonstrated track record of success managing complex instructional design projects.
  • Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to think strategically and globally about learning and development needs and develop initiatives that support learning objectives.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing other instructional designers and team members.
  • Advanced Instructional Design Skills: Expertise applying advanced instructional design models and methodologies (e.g., SAM, Agile Learning Design, 7Cs of learning design) beyond the ADDIE framework.
  • Impact Evaluation: Experience creating evaluation plans to measure the impact and effectiveness of training.
  • Innovative Learning Solutions: Experience designing and implementing global learning solutions, including e‑learning, blended learning, mobile learning, and emerging technologies.
  • Management: Project management skills with the ability to manage timelines and stakeholder expectations.
  • Organizational Development: Experience in organizational development and change management within a corporate environment.
  • Learning Technology Leadership: Proven expertise in managing and optimizing Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technologies.
  • Advanced Certifications: Advanced certifications in instructional design or related fields are a plus.
