Job Title: Senior Employee Relations Specialist (Hybrid – Boca Raton, FL)
Location: Boca Raton, Florida (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)
Contract Duration: 9 months (potential extension up to 12 months)
Work Hours: 40 hours/week | Standard business hours | Some overtime possible
Start Date: November 24, 2025


Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Employee Relations Specialist to manage complex employee relations matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role involves conducting investigations, advising leaders, supporting compliance, and strengthening organizational culture through fair, consistent, and policy-aligned decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

Employee & Labor Relations

  • Conduct thorough investigations into misconduct, harassment, discrimination, and policy violations.

  • Manage Compliance Hotline/Speak Up cases to resolution with proper documentation.

  • Provide expert guidance to managers on employee relations best practices and legal compliance.

  • Partner with HR, legal, and business leaders to mitigate risk and ensure consistent policy interpretation.

  • Support unionized environments through grievance resolution and arbitration participation.

  • Build trusted relationships with employees, union representatives, and Works Councils.

Medical Accommodations

  • Lead the medical accommodation process in coordination with HR and medical experts.

  • Facilitate interactive discussions, document outcomes, and balance employee advocacy with business needs.

Corrective Action & Performance Management

  • Advise on corrective action procedures, including drafting performance improvement plans.

  • Educate leaders on SMART objectives and progressive discipline practices.

  • Maintain accurate and compliant records of employee actions and case resolutions.

Training & Program Development

  • Collaborate with Learning teams to create and deliver ER-related training.

  • Contribute to employee relations initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Special Projects & Administration

  • Lead or support HR/ER projects, ensuring timely and quality outcomes.

  • Maintain detailed case management documentation for audits and compliance reporting.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, or related field.

  • 5–7 years of employee relations experience with a strong focus on investigations.

  • Solid understanding of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.

  • Proficient with HRIS and case management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, NAVEX EthicsPoint).

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • High discretion, integrity, and ability to handle sensitive matters confidentially.

  • Local to Boca Raton, FL, and available onsite 3 days per week.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in unionized environments and labor relations.

  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).

  • Experience in global or matrixed organizations supporting multiple sites.


Additional Information
  • Must be able to manage 25–40 ER cases weekly, including high-sensitivity issues.

  • Role requires strong emotional resilience and self-care awareness.

  • Initial onboarding includes one month of structured training with peer support.

  • Minimal travel (up to 10%) may be required.
