Job Summary:

To further strengthen the IT Procurement team, NXP is seeking to recruit a highly skilled and motivated Senior Commodity Manager in IT Procurement, who can drive strategic initiatives, foster supplier partnerships, and deliver exceptional value to our organization.

The Senior Commodity Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the global sourcing strategy for IT products and services at NXP. This role involves working closely with a team of sourcing professionals, negotiating with key suppliers, and ensuring that NXP obtains the best value in terms of quality, cost, and delivery. The selected candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support NXP's strategic objectives and drive continuous improvement in procurement processes.

Key responsibilities
  • Strategic sourcing:
    • Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for IT software and IT services. Some hardware experience is helpful.
    • Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities
    • Participate in supplier qualification and selection processes in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Supplier management:
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure favorable terms and conditions
    • Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance with service level agreements
  • Cost management:
    • Identify cost reduction opportunities through strategic sourcing initiatives
    • Conduct spend analysis and develop strategies to optimize IT procurement costs
    • Implement best practices to achieve cost saving targets and stay updated on industry trends to ensure NXP remains competitive
  • Cross-functional collaboration:
    • Work closely with IT, Finance, Legal, and other relevant departments to align sourcing strategies with business objectives
    • Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistency and standardization of procurement processes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, with a focus on IT categories
  • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing global sourcing strategies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools
  • Candidate must reside in Chandler, Arizona, or in Austin, Texas
  • Hybrid schedule (3 days per week in office)
