Job description

The Associate Manager, Indirect Commodityย plays a key role in shaping how Shure sources the goods and services that keep our business moving.

In this role, youโ€™ll own indirect commodity categories from strategy through execution, partnering closely with crossfunctional teams to bring smart, aligned sourcing strategies to life. If you enjoy building supplier relationships, driving value, and balancing operational, technical, and financial priorities, this role puts you right at the center of it all.

This role is hybrid or remote based out of our Niles, IL location.ย 

  • Leads commodity strategy development, including establishing approved supplier lists, maintaining capability matrices, and adapting sourcing strategies based on business, market, and economic conditions.
  • Leads and coleads supplier negotiations, including pricing discussions, terms and conditions, speculative buys, and costavoidance initiatives.
  • Manages supplier relationships through business reviews, performance monitoring (quality, delivery, contract compliance), technology roadmap alignment, and coordination of supplier presentations.
  • Conducts comprehensive market, spend, and category analyses to identify costreduction opportunities, assess market drivers, evaluate pricing trends, and support negotiation strategies.

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Supply Chain or a related field.
  • 5โ€“7 years of relevant experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate processes, technologies, and cost structures to ensure bestcost solutions.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills across pricing, terms, and supplier performance.
  • Ability to work on complex issues requiring sound judgment, evaluation of variable factors, and selection of appropriate methods and techniques.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to identify and implement improved practices within project teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, problemsolving, and projectmanagement skills.
  • High standards of integrity, strong selfmotivation, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Ability to travel 5-10% globally, or as the need arises.
  • Broad experience applying professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues creatively and effectively.
  • Strong domainspecific knowledge with demonstrated progression in both technical expertise and interpersonal effectiveness.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
Shure offers a competitive compensation structure that is reviewed annually to attract, hire, and retain the industryโ€™s top talent. Base salaries vary based on qualifications, geography, experience, and expertise in each respective discipline. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base salary for the opportunity. The base salary for this position ranges from $97,800 to $166,300, with a midpoint target. This position may also be eligible for our incentive pay program, which varies based on individual and Company performance in the year. If your salary expectations do not align, still apply as we are often flexible on the seniority of posted positions. All positions also include an award-winning benefits package.
