Commodity Manager – Global Sourcing


Remote
We're partnering with a global engineered materials manufacturer to find a Commodity Manager to lead sourcing strategies for key raw materials worldwide.
This is a highly visible role for someone who enjoys supplier negotiations, analyzing market trends, and developing sourcing strategies that improve cost, reduce supply chain risk, and support manufacturing operations worldwide.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop global sourcing and commodity strategies.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and manage key supplier relationships.
  • Source chemicals, resins, polypropylene, and other technical raw materials.
  • Analyze market trends and pricing to support business decisions.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, and R&D teams globally.
  • Travel 30–40% to suppliers and manufacturing locations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5-8+ years of raw material sourcing or procurement experience.
  • Background sourcing chemicals, resins, polypropylene, or similar materials.
  • Experience in commodity chemical materials or pulp is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and Excel skills.
  • Experience working with global suppliers and sourcing strategies.
