We are looking for an Indirect Commodity Manager to develop, execute, and manage the sourcing strategy and tactical plans for several Indirect spend categories, including IT and Capex. This role will report to the Sr. Manager, Indirect Procurement and will be based in Newark, DE. This is a fully on-site, in office role 5 days a week.
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing strategy: Develop and execute sourcing strategies and commodity management for assigned Indirect commodities including IT and Capex
  • Cost reduction and negotiation: Conduct comprehensive cost data analysis, identify cost-saving levers while utilizing strong analytical skills such as cost modeling, quotation analysis, competitive bidding and supply/demand analysis
  • Contract management: Develop, negotiate and execute purchase agreements and Statements of Work with suppliers
  • Supplier relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving value
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders to design scopes, develop sourcing plans, manage supplier negotiations, and lead external communications
  • Supplier development: Identify and develop strategic suppliers capable of meeting the company's long-term needs
  • Procurement excellence: Drive improvements in key metrics such as cost, quality, customer service, technology, and cycle-time, with a focus on year-over-year improvements in total cost of ownership
  • First principles approach: Have business mindset to challenge existing processes and suggest new ways to optimize and improve procurement efficiency.

Skills and Experience:
  • BS/MS/MBA in Engineering/Technology or Supply Chain or a related field
  • 5+ years' experience in Indirect procurement/ Global supply management/ Commodity management, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong negotiation and contracting skills with expertise in Master Agreements and Statements of Work
  • Be able to work within a highly ambiguous environment along with being able to adapt to various situations and find solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, capability to ramp quickly on new initiatives, demonstrated skills in leadership influencing, planning contract negotiations, teamwork while delivering results
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, ideally with experience in Oracle
  • Advanced skills in data analysis, Excel and PowerPoint required
  • High degree of integrity, initiative, and attention to detail in a collaborative environment
  • Project management background a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
Salary Ranges:
$101,600.00 - $146,400.00
