Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Client Partner / Senior Client Partner is a seniorbusiness development and technology advisory role within Mathematica's DataSolutions Division. Reporting to the Senior Director and Managing ClientPartner, this position drives growth by helping clients define and executedata, analytics, AI, and technology-enabled strategies that improve mission andoperational outcomes.
The role serves as a trusted advisor to clients and internalleadership, providing market insight, solution strategy, and pursuit leadershipacross Mathematica's portfolio of federal, state, commercial, and foundationclients. Operating within a highly matrixed environment, the Client Partnersupports multiple divisions and solution areas, connecting client needs,technology capabilities, acquisition strategies, and delivery approaches intodifferentiated solutions that position Mathematica for growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop growth strategies, account plans, and qualified opportunity backlogs aligned to Mathematica's Data Solutions priorities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with client executives, acquisition stakeholders, technology leaders, and strategic partners.
  • Assess client missions, business objectives, operating environments, and technology ecosystems to identify opportunities for data, analytics, AI, and technology-enabled solutions.
  • Define differentiated solution strategies that align client requirements, acquisition objectives, partner capabilities, and Mathematica strengths.
  • Lead opportunity shaping, capture planning, competitive assessments, stakeholder analysis, teaming strategies, and price-to-win investigations.
  • Define solution concepts, win strategies, technical approaches, and value propositions that inform proposals, demonstrations, presentations, and other pursuit activities.
  • Identify and guide strategic pre-sales investments, including prototypes, accelerators, demonstrations, pilots, and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Advise internal and client stakeholders on technology, analytics, AI, DataOps, AnalyticsOps, AIOps, governance, and operating model considerations.
  • Collaborate across business development, delivery, technology, research, and operational teams to align growth priorities with delivery capabilities.
  • Lead through influence and a servant leadership mindset, enabling teams to develop practical, executable, and client-centered solutions.

Required Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of experience in technology consulting, business development, solution strategy, systems integration, solution architecture, technology advisory, or related fields. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated success leading growth initiatives, capture efforts, and strategic pursuits in federal, state, commercial, foundation, or other mission-driven environments.
  • Experience developing technology-enabled solutions involving data engineering, analytics, AI, cloud, digital services, enterprise platforms, or related capabilities.
  • Experience conducting investigatory analysis to support pricing strategies, competitive positioning, and price-to-win assessments.
  • Experience establishing and managing teaming agreements, strategic partnerships, alliance relationships, and partner ecosystems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentations, solution briefings, workshops, and client-facing communications.

Domain Experience
  • Candidates should possess meaningful experience in one ormore domains served by Mathematica, including: Health, Public Health, HumanServices, Education, Employment and Workforce Development, State Government, FederalCivilian Agencies, Social Policy Research, and/or Commercial markets pertainingthese domains.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working for a major federal and/or state systems integrator, management consulting firm, technology services provider, or digital transformation organization.
  • Strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), federal and state procurement processes, contract vehicles, and acquisition strategies.
  • Experience applying enterprise architecture, business architecture, technical architecture, solution architecture, or operating model frameworks.
  • Graduate degree in business, public policy, information systems, computer science, engineering, analytics, or a related field.

Compensation
The Client Partner role offers ananticipated annual base salary range of $160,000 - $200,000. The Senior ClientPartner position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of $180,000 -$220,000. Both positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus based oncompany and individual performance.
