Senior Accountant - Manufacturing Cost & Inventory Specialist
Location: Hillsboro, OR, 97124 (Onsite)

About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing processes by delivering accurate cost analysis and inventory oversight. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and ensure regulatory compliance in a dynamic contract environment. This position offers exposure to advanced ERP systems and the opportunity to make a direct impact on operational decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial transaction recording and general ledger reconciliation.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of production costs, including materials, labor, and overhead, to identify efficiency opportunities.
- Supervise inventory levels, reconcile discrepancies, and deliver accurate valuations to minimize waste and prevent shortages.
- Prepare and present detailed manufacturing cost reports, offering actionable insights to support senior management decisions.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements; respond to audit requests with complete documentation.
- Monitor and analyze cost variances, investigating discrepancies and implementing corrective actions to meet budget targets.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, and finance teams to enhance process efficiency and reduce costs.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
