Job description

Semiconductor Engineering Technician
The Opportunity:
What if you could use your engineering skills to help stop threat actors or solve a cold case? As a semiconductor engineering technician, you understand the building blocks of electronic systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to how law enforcement investigates modern technology. We're looking for a technician who can use their skills to develop novel capabilities to recover data from damaged devices or investigate possible integrated circuit (IC) counterfeiting or tampering.

You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience with the design, fabrication, or validation testing of semiconductor processes and CMOS design or Failure Analysis
  • Experience working in an electronics lab developing new test and evaluation procedures and conducting iterative testing
  • Experience with silicon wafer, chip, or package sample prep through physical and chemical means
  • Experience in imaging with the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) or Focused Ion Beam (FIB)
  • Experience with technical documentation and capturing lab notes
  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with Fault Isolation
  • Experience with embedded flash memory technology

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
